Deborah Chambers, and her initial Side Story exist to show off the criminal side of the Republic, and maybe a little of how Tactical is perceived by the universe at large. There's several other POVs from either Agents, such as Jae Ali or Maria Prussin, or the peers of Agents, like Cassidy Freeman. This is the first time that I really wrote about what they're like for normal people to face-in other words, you don't. For the record, Tactical Agents really don't take losses on routine missions like this, despite Agent Red's insistence to the contrary, but I felt that by showing the people behind Tactical that sense of fear was potentially jeopardized. Deborah's Side Story was largely an attempt at correcting that. This was likely largely an imagined problem, as this is my first serialized project and I was probably subconsciously assuming that these would be read in the same order I wrote them, like if I was writing a novel, however, I think that the overall content of the Side Stories is stronger because of this
